How to dub a video

  1. 1

Install the free Dubbing add-on once (Settings › Models & add-ons, about 3.2 GB).

  2. 2

Open Dub a video, choose your file, the spoken language (or detect it automatically), the target language and a voice.

  3. 3

Choose whether to keep some of the original audio under the dub for music and background sounds, or remove it for a clean voice track.

  4. 4

Click Dub it. You get a WAV audio track and an SRT subtitle file to use in CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or Clipchamp.

What you get

Your voice, another language

Mimicore transcribes, translates sentence by sentence and speaks each line in your voice, fitted to the original timing.

Offline and private

Dubbing runs on your PC. Your video and your voice are not uploaded to Mimicore.

Works with common files

MP4, MOV, MKV, M4A, MP3 and WAV.

Subtitles included

Every dub comes with an SRT file you can upload as subtitles on YouTube and other platforms.

Text to speech too

Type text in 23 languages and your cloned voice says it with natural pronunciation. Save it to a file for voiceovers and narration.

Built for creators

Localise YouTube videos and Shorts into Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese and more without hiring a voice actor.

Dubbing and cloning are part of the Studio plan (7-day free trial). The Free plan allows short 30-second clips. Dub only content you have the rights to.

Questions

Does the dub sound like me?

Yes. You choose a voice for the dub, including your own instant clone or a trained voice, and Mimicore speaks each translated line in it.

Do I need an internet connection?

Not for dubbing itself. After the one-time add-on download (about 3.2 GB), dubbing runs fully offline on your PC.

What do I get at the end?

A WAV audio track and an SRT subtitle file. Place the audio on your video in any editor and add the subtitles if you like.

Which languages are supported?

Instant cloning and text to speech support 23 languages, and you can pick the spoken language or let Mimicore detect it automatically.

Is dubbing free?

The Free plan allows short 30-second clips. Unlimited dubbing is part of the Studio plan, which has a 7-day free trial.
