AI voice changer for Discord, games and streams
Mimicore changes your voice live on Windows and sends it to Discord, Zoom, OBS and your games through a virtual microphone. It runs on your own PC, with about a third of a second of delay on a mid-range GPU.
Use Mimicore as a Discord voice changer in four steps
- 1
Install Mimicore, then open Live › Output › Set up virtual mic. It installs the free VB-CABLE driver for you.
- 2
In Discord, open User Settings › Voice & Video and set Input Device to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable). Turn off Discord's Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation.
- 3
In Mimicore, pick a voice or effect and press Start. Use Hear myself with headphones to check how you sound.
- 4
Set a push-to-talk key and a start/stop hotkey so you can switch voices without leaving your game.
What you get
Low delay for gaming
Quality settings from Low (about 0.35 s for instant voices, about 0.3 s for trained voices) up to High for streams and recordings.
Works with other apps too
The same virtual microphone works in Discord, Zoom, Teams, Meet and OBS. Games use it as their voice input device.
28 free voice effects
Radio, cave, robot, giant, ghost and more, layered on top of any voice. Effects and the soundboard are always free.
Keeps up with your PC
If a game starts and your PC can't keep up, Mimicore steps down to a lighter setting by itself and moves back up when things calm down.
Hotkeys and soundboard
Bind a hotkey per character, switch voices mid-sentence, and trigger soundboard clips for instant reactions.
Private by design
Live voice changing runs on your PC. Microphone audio is processed in memory and never stored or sent.
The Free plan includes 20 minutes of live voice every day. Live and Studio plans remove the limit, with a 7-day free trial.
Questions
Does Mimicore work with Discord?
Yes. Mimicore creates a virtual microphone called CABLE Output. Select it as your input device in Discord's Voice & Video settings and turn off Discord's own noise suppression and echo cancellation, because they fight the changed voice.
Is it a real-time voice changer?
Yes. Depending on the quality setting and your PC, the delay is roughly 0.3 to 0.5 seconds for typical settings. A Lite setting adapts to slower PCs and integrated graphics.
Do I need a powerful graphics card?
No. Mimicore tunes itself to your PC and picks a model size that suits it. Slower PCs start at a lighter but still good setting, and the 28 effects work right away.
Is it free?
There is a free plan with 20 live minutes a day and 28 free effects. You can start a 7-day free trial of the paid plans from your account page.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
No. Mimicore is built for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
